Thinking about touring with your orchestra in Spain? We’ve worked closely with youth orchestras, organizing concert tours in Spain and Portugal for many years. Spain has a rich musical tradition, and your orchestra could easily travel between cities all year round. Amateur young choirs may perform in local conservatories, schools and auditoriums and semi-professional orchestras will be invited to play in beautiful concert halls and theatres during the winter-spring season.
During the months of June, July, and August, concerts are mostly outdoors, and part of the summer music festivals all over the Iberian peninsula that we partner with.
Big percussion instruments are available for use if concerts are in conservatories or music schools. However, we generally hire all the percussion and technical equipment your orchestra might need to tour, including the necessary instrumental trucks.
Besides all the logistical arrangements that we provide as travel agents to your group (such as accommodation, transportation, and meals) we also provide you with all the artistic arrangements you need for a successful tour in Spain. From the best selection of venues available to different collaborations with other orchestras and musicians (including, if you wish, some exchange concerts, masterclasses, or clinics) to participate at some of the most prestigious international music festivals in the country or some of our own.
We partnered with music festivals and youth symphony festivals in Spain over the last two decades. We organized concerts for high school orchestras, university/college orchestras, city youth orchestras, national youth orchestras, and adult community orchestras.
We can start customizing your tours from…
The Iberian peninsula is expansive, and we recommend choosing an area to tour for a week or 10 days, arranging 3 to 5 concerts on average.
Here are some favourite starters. Once you know the route your ensemble will be particularly interested in, let us know so we can send you a more detailed proposal!
Starting/Ending in Madrid
We will take your orchestra across the northern plateau to Burgos and the Rioja Wine Region, then to the Basque Country and Navarra.
Starting/Ending in Madrid
From the city of Burgos to the Atlantic shoreline between the Basque Country and Galicia, there are incredible landscapes, unique cities and beach resorts, green valleys, cliffs, fishing towns, and incredible auditoriums and theatres with its unique cultural and gastronomical lifestyle.
Cities such as Santander – with the oldest music festival in Spain, or Gijon, Oviedo or Avilés in the oldest kingdom of Asturias, to the foggy forests and shores of Galicia -land of tales, Celtic traditions and pilgrims-.
Segovia, Toledo, Alcala de Henares, Avila, Salamanca, El Escorial…
As the capital of Spain, Madrid has many cultural activities of interest. From its museums to parks, monuments and shops, Madrid will keep you busy during the day. Visit any of the medieval towns located less than an hour away -Segovia, El Escorial, Toledo, Alcala de Henares or others nearby, such as Salamanca and Avila-.
Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Granada and Málaga
Two Mediterranean cities with interesting possibilities for your orchestra to perform are surrounded by towns and smaller cities where we can arrange several concerts. You can extend the trip and add a few nights in Madrid or Zaragoza; or start in Barcelona, then to Valencia and end in Granada. From there, you will fly back from Malaga, another Mediterranean city.
Using Malaga as the best Gateway, we will suggest our best routes and concerts
Andalusia is almost one-third of the Iberian peninsula, in the south of Spain. Cities such as Granada, Malaga, Ronda, Sevilla, Cadiz and Cordoba are all unique. Blue skies and short winters make this destination a must to visit and perform. Africa’s coast is less than 30 minutes away by fast ferry to cross the Gibraltar Strait to Tangier on a day excursion. Or you may extend your trip and add 3 more days, at the end in Lisbon, which will allow you to visit the Algarve region and Lisbon in Portugal.
We will love to hear from you and your interest at any time!
